Brooklyn's no.1 dogsitter

Becoming a part-time dog sitter has been one of the most fascinating experiences of my life. I take immense joy in caring for and playing with dogs. As I discovered that UX philosophy is applicable in various aspects of life, I learned how to foster the growth of my small business. Within a mere two months, I proudly earned the title of Brooklyn's No.1 sitter, serving over 40 loyal, returning clients.

USER-CENTERED SERVICE

Throughout my service, I've observed that my clients who own dogs are mainly focused on their pets' daily routines, including their mood, health, meal schedule, medication schedule, and potty breaks. Recognizing this as their primary concern, I established an Instagram account as well as text message to regularly update all my clients about their dogs' daily adventures. This initiative also strengthens the trust between me and new customers. People who are new to my page have the opportunity to browse through my previous posts and stories, allowing them to gain insight into my services. This has proven highly beneficial in securing future bookings.

A concise ux writer

In order to set myself apart from other dog sitters on Rover (the platform), I initially took a close look at the profiles of my competitors. It became evident that I needed to do something different. Instead of overwhelming potential clients with lengthy and distracting text, I opted for a more straightforward approach. My aim was to present clear and concise information, including pricing and service details, so that prospective clients could easily grasp the most vital aspects. I firmly believe that this use of clean and concise language, essentially UX writing, contributes to an enhanced conversion rate, resulting in more bookings.
